Parents,
Before the book fair begins on November 12th, our class is collecting funds for the "All for Books" program. By donating $1, $5, $10, $20, or even loose change in the baggie that was sent home this week, you help us add books to our classroom library.
The "All for Books" money we collect also helps readers beyond our school and community. Scholastic Book Fair matches monetary donations with a donation up to one million books to the Kids in Need Foundations and Kids in Distressed Situations, Inc.
Please send your donations back to school by Friday, November 2nd.
Thank you for participating!

Parents,
We have the unique experience of having a high school intern from Clear Falls High School join us in our room starting on Monday, October 8. Paige Wankowicz will be in our room on Monday thru Thursday until the end of the school year. She is interested in becoming a teacher and thus taking a class at the high school to learn more about this profession. While in our room, Paige will be teaching a handful of lessons, working with small groups and individuals, as well as completing some of the administrative tasks that a teacher has. She was introduced to the students on Thursday this week and we are very excited to have her be a part of our class. Below is an "All About Me" poster that Paige created to share.

Parents, I am starting the year with some super exciting news... your child will have two teachers in 3rd grade! Ms. Reynolds and I will be sharing your children this year. I will teach math, science, and social studies. Then your child will switch and go to Ms. Reynolds for reading and writing. Switching teachers helps your child develop organizational skills as well as responsibility. I am very excited about this change!
